Target Sheets

In order to ensure a consistent, common approach to the use of Target Sheets, teachers will apply the following guidelines.  Children should also be made aware of the criteria which is being applied.

Behaviour
Target sheets are directly linked to the Assertive Discipline system.  If a child ends the day on green 1 or 2 on the traffic light board for behaviour, he/she colours green for that day on their target sheet.  If the child ends on amber 1 or 2 – colour amber and if red 1 or 2 colour red.

The target sheet acts as a form of communication between home and school.  They are sent home each week with feedback from the teacher and should be signed by the parent/guardian.

The target sheets run on a four week cycle.  If a child has green every day for a week they are rewarded:-

Week 1 – sticker on target sheet
Week 2 – stamper on target sheet
Week 3 – select a ‘treat’ from the class “Golden Box”
Week 4 – Certificate of Achievement to take home.
