P.T.A.

Parent Teachers Association (P.T.A.)

All about us

We have an active P.T.A. in St Blane's.  Throughout the year they organise various events for pupils and parents.

Each year they donate a substantial amount of money.  These donations have helped the school to buy televisions, a projector for the computer room and funded our web-site!  The donations also subsidise outings such as the whole school visit to the Pantomime in Glasgow and the annual summer outings.  All pupils benefit from the hard work and dedication of the P.T.A.

The P.T.A. is always ready to welcome new members or parents willing to volunteer some of their time to help. They normally meet in the school around 6.30 pm on Mondays, twice per term. Other meetings are called as and when the need arises e.g. to make arrangements for fund raising events, etc.

A variety of events are organised throughout each year. These include Pupil discos, bingo nights, Christmas Fayre, Race Nights and the 50/50 club.

How to help
Parents are invited to help at any of the above events although when dealing with pupils, parents are required to obtain Enhanced Disclosure.  Information leaflets and forms are available from the school office.
