Extra Curricular Activities
- Athletics
Children from P participated in athletics competitions throughout the year at the John Wright Centre in East Kilbride, taking part in running, jumping, throwing
Outdoor Activity Week
Primary 7 pupils are normally offered the opportunity of a week's outdoor adventure course. The activities they can participate in include abseiling, canoeing or kayaking, gorge walking, hill climbing, rock hopping.This year they will be going to Ardentinny near Dunoon.
Educational Visits and Outings
Each year we organise a variety of outings to consolidate and extend class work.
These includes such venues as:
- David Livingstone Centre
- Kittochside Museum of Scottish Life
- Blantyre Library
- Asda
- Bothwell Castle
- Blair Drummond Safari Park
- Bannockburn
Sports Clubs
Our Active Schools Co-ordinator, Allison Corrigan, offers different active clubs for a variety of age groups at different times during the year, for example:-
- basketball
- volleyball
- athletics
- Cross Country
This year we received a "Sports for All" grant and this has enabled us to run the following activity clubs:-
- Basketball
- Run, Jump, Throw
- Touch Rugby
- Handball
- Street dance
- Cross Country
