Enrolling Your Child

Infant Registration

If your child is starting school for the first time you must enrol your child at their local school in January.  If parents want their child to go to another school, they must enrol in the first instance with their local school and ask for an information leaflet that provides details of how to make a placing request.  Forms are available from school, Q & A offices or by contacting:

                  Education Resources,
                  Almada Street,
                  Hamilton ML3 0AE
                  Telephone: 01698 54458

Completed forms should be returned as soon as possible to:

Proof of Residence
When a child is enrolled, whether to start in P1 or transferring from another school during the year, Birth and Baptismal certificates plus two proofs of residence (utility bill, rent book) should be produced and children should accompany parents at the time of enrolment if possible.

Introduction to school
Parents of new pupils will be invited to a series of meetings in the school before the start of the new session for an outline of the Language and Mathematics programmes and teaching methods.   Pupils are also invited to meet their teacher and become familiar with their classroom.

Enrolment of children during the school year
Parents seeking a place for their child in this school are asked to contact the Head Teacher so that a visit can be arranged at a mutually convenient time.
